Our go-to for chicken fu yong, chow mein and sweet n sour pork. Chicken fu yong is great. Big pieces of chicken. Chow mein is really nice and the sauce keeps everything from being “dry”. Big chunks of Veges. Love the sweet n sour pork. Looks ugly but tastes so good. Never liked it before I tried theirs. Chips are nice, crispy and soft and steamy inside. Portion sizes are large (I think so anyway). Over all value is just like everything else. Expensive. Nearly $50-$60 to feed a family of 4. Take aways on a Friday night used to be affordable now it’s become a source of getting more for your money but when times are hard $10 chips a loaf of bread is sometimes cheaper than doing an actual shopping trip
Great restaurant the 9.50 pack was bigger Than I thought it would be with fast, great service and a wonderful meal I say it's a wonderful spot.
Great range of fish and lovely fry bread and shellfish options too.
I usually grab my meals from Whau Valley Takeaways through delivery apps, so I can’t really comment on what the place itself is like. But when it comes to the food, they’re absolutely killing it. The chicken fried noodle dish is definitely a standout, full of flavour and the kind of comfort you want on a busy day. Every order we’ve had has been consistently good, with decent portion sizes that actually fill you up without breaking the bank. If you’re after tasty takeaway that won’t disappoint, this spot is a solid bet every time.
The Pāua and fried are crazy good - The Cray was awesome too thanks team.
I have been here a few times now, and I can not compare it to elsewhere. They cook fish and chips like you want it made. Undecided at first as you have to guess if it's good or not but the best so far in a long time. Well done, northland.
